This is an extension method where your natural hair is braided in rows from ear to ear and wefts of hair are woven (with thread) onto the braids.

Clip-In Hair Extensions come in one or multiple pieces (wefts) of varying widths and clip under your own hair by small snap on clips. Our clips are all quality clips with a silicone insert so they will not slip and are extremely secure.

Machine weft hair refers to hair that has been stitched by a sewing machine creating a track. The track is then sewn onto or glued to a cornrow base. Machine weft hair tends to be sturdier than hand tied hair.

To create a Full lace wig, individual hair strands are strategically ventilated or hand tied into a thin Swiss lace cap to allow for a flat and natural looking installation. No lumps, bumps or tracks. Our Full Lace Unit allows for endless parting, styling and unimaginable versatility. It takes 3 days and 3 bundles of hair to create this masterpiece. Full lace wigs have lace all around the unit, and require the lace to be cut all around the unit. Full Lace Wigs appear that all of the hair is growing directly from your scalp.

Closures are used with a full in sewn weave to give a natural looking scalp or part. It is sewn at the top of a head to close off a style. A closure eliminates the need for blending and are a must have accessory especially when your natural hair doesn’t blend well with the weave.

Lace Frontals are used in conjunction with a full in sewn weave to give a natural looking hairline. They are a half wig which goes from ear to ear and measures approximately 13” across and 4” back.

No, we do not bleach our knots as it leads to excessive shedding or bald spots in the unit. We recommend disguising the knots with your makeup.

Made from Remy Human Hair Extensions which has been chemically processed and dyed for uniformity. Can last up to a year.

Signature Hair Collection
Made from Virgin Human Hair which has a medium coarse texture and seamlessly blends with natural or relaxed. This is our best zero detection choice for hair types 3B/3C-4A/ 4B-4C. Can last up to 2 years or more.

Premium Hair Collection
Made from the softest and highest quality Virgin Human Hair you can find on the market today. It blends effortlessly with Silky (Type 1A) to Medium (Type 3C) Hair. The silky strands are NOT coated with silicone and gives a unique aura and natural appearance. Can last up to 3 years or more.

Virgin hair
This is 100% human hair that is cut off of a single hair donor in one ponytail and has never been chemically processed.

Remy hair tends to be the most popular human hair extensions - This is natural hair that is collected from several different hair donors and is chemically processed to achieve texture uniformity. Cuticles manually aligned in the same direction to eliminate tangling.

Non Remy hair: This is natural hair, usually fallen hair, that is collected from random suppliers, resulting in the cuticles lying in all different directions which can lead to tangles and matting. To combat this, non-remy hair is chemically treated to remove the cuticle and then dipped in silicone to add shine, this adds weight to the hair and over time the silicone washes away and the hair loses its luster.

Cuticle Test - If you cannot feel the hair cuticles, then the hair has been acid-washed and the cuticles have been stripped. To check for the hair cuticles hold a strand of hair near the top between your thumb and index finger, and slide your fingers down the entire length of the hair. The hair should feel smooth. If you reverse the motion and slide your fingers up the strand, the hair should have ridges—these are the cuticles. If the hair is smooth both ways, the cuticles were stripped by an acid wash and you’ve purchased fake virgin hair.

Silicone Coating - Virgin hair is not shiny and has a medium to low lustre. If the hair has a shiny residue on it, then it is silicone-coated Non-Remy hair.

First, treat it like your natural hair or even better as the hair is not being revitalized at the scalp like your own hair.

1. Cleanse - Your extensions will ship pre-washed, however we suggest washing and conditioning your extensions prior to use. Use a Co-Wash or Hydrating Shampoo and avoid any shampoos with sulphate in them. Only wash your Hair extensions when they look like they absolutely need it! As they are not attached to your scalp, the hair is not being revitalized at the scalp like our own hair.
2. Condition - Use a hydrating conditioner and leave-in conditioner. We love It's a 10 Leave In Conditoner
3. Style - Avoid excessive heat and always use a heat protectant spray prior to styling your extensions. Use alcohol-free serums or products on your extensions to avoid drying out the hair.
4. Drying - We highly recommend air drying your extension after washing and conditioning, however, real hair can take the heat from a blow-dryer, flat iron or curling iron, but just like your own hair, it’s best to keep heat styling at a minimum to beat frizz and maintain the quality and durability of your extensions.

Although our Premium & Signature Hair can be colored, we do suggest getting it colored by a professional hair colorist, who has had previous experience in working with hair extensions. Dyeing may lead to shortening the lifespan of your extensions and possibly cause damage if not done correctly. When using hair bleach we recommend nothing stronger than a 20 volume developer. Be sure to keep color treated hair conditioned and moisturized.

We do not recommend dying our Our Everyday, Freedom, and Empress Hair Collections as they have been processed multiple times. Due to the processing they have gone through they do not take to dying well.

Kindly note, dyeing or toning hair extensions may alter the structure of the hair, resulting in a lowered lifespan. Dyeing, toning, or bleaching Glowsom Hair extensions is done at the customer's discretion.

If you are in-between shades, we recommend going for the lighter colorr and taking your extensions to a professional hair colorist to have them dye your set a darker shade in order to achieve an overall match.

Because these bundles are genuine virgin human hair, they colors may vary. Typically bundles are a #1B in color but we have custom lighter colors available.

Yes, you certainly can! Placing an order will reserve a set for you so once your extensions are in stock or ready, we will send you your extensions right away! Allow 15 Business Days for processing custom color orders.

Our bundles are 3.5oz of hand inspected, certified 100% premium human hair.

Typical installs up to 16” require 2 bundles. Installs from 18” - 24” will need 3 bundles. 26” and up will need 3 or 4 bundles depending on how full you want your hair to look.

The lifespan of our is anywhere from 1-3 years, depending on their usage and how they are cared for and maintained.

Some shedding is normal within the first couple wears, just like your own hair! But if you feel your Glowsom Extensions are shedding excessively, please feel free to contact us. Please note that cutting the weft will lead to shedding. You can apply Fray Check Fabric Glue to the weft of your extensions to help prevent shedding.

All of our extensions are wefted with intact and aligned cuticles. This prevents the hair from tangling like most other bundles sold in the U.S. However, please note that ALL human hair has the ability to tangle if it is not maintained and will likely experience LIMITED shedding - this is normal and unavoidable and would happen the same way if the hair was growing straight from your scalp. Use of a silk bonnet or wrap while sleeping and keeping the hair clean and conditioned.

You must contact us at info@glowsom.com prior to sending your return for a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA).The RMA facilitates tracking of your returned product and expedites your refund. Please note that refunds for merchandise returned without contacting us cannot be guaranteed.

Human hair extensions are considered a hygienic product. We take matters of hygiene and public safety seriously and do not allow opened items to be returned for the safety of all our customers. However, if you are having an issue with your installed or opened hair, send us an email at info@glowsom.com detailing the issue.

Yes, all customers are responsible for their own return shipping costs. We recommend that you send your return with a tracking option, because Glowsom will not be responsible for lost returns.
